Sea Creatures & Animals Children’s Book by Marine Biologist Professor Brian Morton
It has been The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong’s great honour to have collaborated with “Hong Kong’s father of marine conservation”, the late Professor Brian Morton, publishing “Sea Creatures & Animals”, a meaningful bilingual children’s book. Professor Morton’s beautiful hand-drawn illustrations bring to life forty fascinating sea creatures and animals from Hong Kong and around the world. We hope that this book can help capture the interest of children about the wonderment of marine life and the value of biodiversity and conservation.
The book is available in all guest rooms for guests’ enjoyment during the stay. A complimentary copy of the book has been sent to all schools and public libraries in Hong Kong to promote marine life conservation and education. This book is available at the hotel's Online Shop, The Explorers, Bookazine, Eslite, Kelly & Walsh, Joint Publishing HK, The Commercial Press, Chung Hwa Book Co and M+ for purchase at HK$128 each. Digital version is also available on Amazon at US$9.99.
All book proceeds will go to the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK), a foundation committed to working together with people from all walks of life to promote ecological conservation across Asia through collaborative fundraising, scientific research, capacity building, and education. With a particular focus on marine conservation, OPCFHK continuously strives to tackle the issue of habitat destruction and fragmentation, pollution, overfishing, climate change and illegal wildlife trade.
