Live Performance: Voices of Myth
Voices of Myth is a live guzheng performance by Mohamed Faizal Salim, presented in conjunction with the Hidden in the Jungle exhibition. Blending the traditional Chinese zither with Malay, Middle Eastern and Western musical influences, the performance offers a reflective and contemporary listening experience within the gallery setting.
Mohamed Faizal Salim is Singapore’s first full-time Malay guzheng player. He began learning the instrument at the age of 19 and has since performed extensively both locally and internationally, earning recognition for his versatile and cross-cultural playing style.
