Events Sales Manager
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving catering/banquet revenues as well as the targets set by the DOS within the year (generation of leads, prospecting, converting, team goals establishment, employee satisfaction survey results, etc.)
- Assist in identifying market needs and trends in Catering, Wedding, Social, Conference, Corporate businesses, defining the target markets, review direct competition and ensure complete awareness by all sales team of competitor’s activities, strategies, and promotion
- Develop existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing, solicit new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques
- Compilation key financial reports for business analysis, event & catering budget business plan, regular budget and forecast reports, team production tracking/management
- Conduct market research on competitors’ analysis and market trends; monitor competitor set activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to exceed fair market share performance
- Responsible for the MICE and room only group logistics. Follow through the entire event / group from the handover file from sales till the completion of the event / departure of the group
Requirements
- Bachelor’ degree or above
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Catering Sales position
- Aggressive and positive working attitude
- Solid sales experience in F&B, event and wedding planning within hotel / resort area, extensive knowledge and background in wedding planning / sales
- In-depth industry knowledge and previous exposure to hotel social catering sales model
- Able to manage the identification and resolution of day-to-day problems related to event/wedding requests
- Excellent Mandarin and English written and verbal communication skills
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Events Sales Manager
