Timeless Flows: The Legacy and Evolution of the Singapore River

Inspired by the book The Singapore River: A Social History, 1819–2002 by Associate Professor Stephen Dobbs, the exhibition features nine paintings exploring the river’s past, present, and future — from its days as a bustling colonial trade artery to its transformation into a revitalised urban icon. Through two fictional characters, Ah Huat and Wei Wei, Dr Kay Kok Chung-Oi captures the spirit, transformation, and enduring legacy of this historic waterway.
